Governor’s chief of staff exits to lead pro-Landry PAC

The leader of Jeff Landry’s executive team is moving on to lead a political action committee dedicated to advancing the governor’s agenda. The organization has already been active in supporting the administration’s efforts to update state tax police, and it was the financial mechanism for Landry renting a live tiger for an LSU football game in 2024.

Slightly more than 5,000 Louisiana utility customers remained without electricity as of Monday afternoon following the second blast of frigid, Arctic air to envelop Louisiana in a week’s time. Restoration crews were expected to have power restored to most of them overnight, as icy conditions finally loosened their grip on the northern part of the state.
