Congresswoman Julia Letlow has a U.S. Senate seat in her sights after representing Louisiana’s 5th Congressional District since 2021. Her campaign was largely spent painting the opposition — Treasurer John Fleming in the runoff as well as incumbent Bill Cassidy in the May primary — as Republicans in name only. She also succeeded in fending off their attempts to label her as a liberal based on her time as a university administrator.
